Suntek Window Film Installation in Anaheim, California

Solar Art installed Suntek window film at the Anaheim Palms corporate center in Anaheim, California! Anaheim Palms owns the building and rents out each floor to different tenants. A few years back the building owner got a lot of complaints regarding heat and glare from tenants on different floors. There are windows throughout the building that let heat and glare in and make the building uncomfortable and lowers productivity. To try and fix the heat and glare problem, the building owner had shades installed a while back in each of the private offices.

Unfortunately, the shades didn’t provide enough heat rejection and they also blocked all views outside the office, which the tenants didn’t like. The building owner wants to keep his tenants as comfortable and happy as possible, so he was on the search for a window solution that would provide maximum heat rejection. The building owner has done work with Solar Art in the past and thought window film would be the perfect solution for this building as it helps reduce heat and glare and doesn’t have to block any views outside. Solar Art's Goals

Solar Art’s goals for this project were to help the business owner find a window film solution that will significantly reduce heat in the building to keep the tenants comfortable. Our sales representative met with the building owner on-site to take a look at the problem windows and to take exact measurements. A sales representative needs to go onsite in large projects like these to make sure there are accurate measurements taken so the appropriate amount of film is ordered and the installation goes as smoothly as possible. Our sales representative met the building owner onsite to learn exactly what their goals were.

The business owner explained that his tenants were having an issue with heat throughout the entire day and glare during the afternoon. The heat makes the offices unbearably hot and uncomfortable. The glare is especially bad in the afternoon and bounces off computer and TV screens, making it difficult to get any work done. The building has large glass windows on different floors, which is the culprit of this heat and glare. The business owner had shades installed in the past to try and help with the heat and glare issues, but it wasn’t enough. The business owner’s main goal is to have maximum heat rejection as customer satisfaction is his top priority.

Solar Art's Suggestions

Since the customer is looking for maximum heat and glare rejection, our sales representative first thought of a solar film, specifically a reflective window film or a dual-reflective window film. However, after checking out the entire job site, our sales representative noticed that there is existing bronze glass on certain parts of the building.

After seeing the existing bronze glass, he suggested the customer install a bronze window film that will closely match the existing windows to try and keep the look of the building the same from the exterior. The customer agreed that would be a good idea, so our sales representative started by showing the customer different bronze window films. Our sales representative suggested Suntek - IDS Bronze 20 because it would be the best match.

What the Customer Chose

After seeing the different bronze window film options, the customer agreed that the Suntek window film would be the best fit for this project because it matches the existing bronze glass the best. The building owner decided to have it installed to the 1st and second-floor windows of the building to help reduce heat and reduce glare. This Suntek window film blocks 75% of heat, 72% of glare, and 99% of UVA and UVB rays.

Blocking this amount of heat and glare will make the building significantly cooler and will make the tenants more comfortable. These ultraviolet rays are the leading cause of sun fading, so a bonus, the customer can have peace of mind knowing that their office furniture and belongings are being protected from sun fading. This Suntek window film is a close match to the existing glass so the building will have a uniform look from the exterior.

Results of the Window Film Installation

Since the customer decided to install the Suntek window film to the first and second-floor windows of the building, the installation ended up being 3,020 square feet of window film! It took a team of 3 installers four full days to complete this project. We asked our sales representative, Jeff, who worked closely on this job what his overall thoughts on the project were. Jeff said, “From the initial contact to receiving the signed contract and completing the job, it ran very smoothly, especially for how large of a project this ended up being.” That’s what we like to hear!

The customer was pleased with the results of the installation because heat is rejected, the tenants are happy and comfortable, the building has a uniform look from the exterior, and it was all done for an affordable price. In addition to Suntek window film and solar film, Solar Art also services solar film, decorative window film, custom graphics, anti graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps. We have offices located up and down the west coast but are capable to travel to anywhere in the United States.
